Generating Excitement for a Big Bash
Hamline University wanted to revamp the look and feel of their annual alumni reunion with the aim of attracting younger graduates. Moving away from traditional “reunion” messaging, we branded the weekend as the “Big Bash,” a knockout party for reconnecting with old friends in a new way. We communicated through collateral and a social media strategy that emphasized the most fun and tempting details of the event. After just the first year, our new approach yielded increased attendance, transformed alumni perceptions of reunion, and dramatically heightened Hamline’s online alumni-related interest.
